This summer you’ll be able to meet MaxBounty for the first time at Affiliate World: Europe! We’re packing up our booth and ourselves and heading across seas to Berlin in July to exhibit at the globally renowned affiliate marketing mega conference.
We’re hoping that this provides the chance for our over seas affiliate base to come see us at a conference. We want to strengthen relationships with ALL of our affiliates and understand that the North American conferences may be difficult to attend for some. Nurturing current relationships is important to us, but so is creating new ones, so we also hope to meet with an entirely new geographic clientele.
The conference takes place July 18th-19th in Berlin, Germany at the Berlin Congress Center.
We’ll keep you updated on more information as the conference gets closer, and let you know how you can set up a meeting with either our Affiliate or Merchant team for the show. Don’t miss this opportunity to talk with the #1 voted CPA network on the planet!
Head to affiliateworldconferences.com for additional info on the event.
Instagram is one of the few remaining social platforms to maintain a chronological ‘newsfeed’, but they’ll soon be following the trend set by Facebook and Twitter before them. A post on the Instagram blog states that”To improve your experience, your feed will soon be ordered to show the moments we believe you will care about the most.”
Essentially the content on user’s feeds is going to be re-ordered, aiming to deliver the contest the user is most interested in before anything. How is that going to be determined though?
It’s likely to be partly based on how user’s have interacted with each account previously, as well as it’s popularity among the general userbase and the specific posts that are being organized. If a user like’s a lot of posts from a specific account, then that account will be given priority on the user’s newsfeed. The time at witch the photo or video is posted will still have some bearing on it’s placement as well, so expect a chronological aspect to remain in the new algorithm.
How will this change the way Instagram is used as a traffic source in affiliate marketing?
If you use the photo-based social platform to aid in offer promotion, it’s possible you’ll need to re-strategize the type of content you post, depending on what you post currently. The biggest thing to take away from this is that engaging attractive content will become even more important in order to entice likes, and therefore a prioritized placement in your followers news feed. Increasing the amount of video content could be one way to increase engagement and to ensure you’re posts aren’t lost in the shuffle.
There’s no exact timeline for when this change will be implemented, but one could expect small changes beginning to happen over the next few months.
It’s a long standing debate in online marketing, but maybe it shouldn’t be. Many people looking to monetize their website or blog will inevitably make a decision between Google AdSense and CPA (cost per action) affiliate marketing. They’ll weigh the pros and cons of both as most of us do when deciding between two options. We’re going to take it one step further though and tell you why we think CPA is the unanimous winner over a CPC (cost per click) model like AdSense.
CPA offers you unprecedented control over what you’re promoting, and how you’re promoting it. A big problem with using AdSense is that you don’t get to decide what type of ads you’ll be displaying on your site. You could be operating a blog that is aimed at being the premier spot on the web for vegan recipes and animal awareness, but then AdSense provides you with a display ad for hunting apparel. Not exactly a match made in heaven. Now that’s obviously an extreme case, and AdSense does allow you to filter out keywords, but it’s still a problem that you’ll never need to worry about if you’re an affiliate at a CPA network like MaxBounty.
Networks allow you complete control to search through a library of campaigns, choose the one you want, and display it on your site. Most niches have multiple campaigns to choose from, with different angles and brands represented. YOU get to dictate what exactly goes on your site, and the more relative the ad is to your content, the less obtrusive it will seem to users.
Advertisers are willing to pay out a lot more for a desired action rather than a click. Utilizing CPA offers on your website provides a much higher ceiling than CPC ads like those run with AdSense. Although the user is required to do more, you’re opening up a door that allows you to make exponentially more money. Since there a variety of different actions that CPA campaigns can require for a lead to be generated, you’ll be able to choose which you think will work better for your site and niche. Whether it be a simple e-mail submit, or an offer that requires a sale, there’s more room for maximizing your potential and your earnings. You’re not even just limited to displaying ads to monetize your site, as other options such as offers that allow e-mail traffic can prove useful if you have a user list built.
The biggest benefit of CPA exists when your website is attracting a specific demographic. Even better if that demographic visits consistently and is engaged with your content. If you understand your traffic and your audience, then CPA will allow you to take advantage of that knowledge better than anything else.
If your site deals with a very broad or vague topic, will many suggest that AdSense is a better option, but remember that CPA offers wider tracking options that will allow you look at what’s happening behind the scenes of your campaigns more closely. This leads to being able to draw more accurate conclusions of what you may need to change to improve your conversion rate.
The last reason why a CPA network is the best option for monetizing your site, is that you get a designated Affiliate Manager who will provide you with support and insight. They’re there to help you, and can steer you in a new direction if you find you aren’t seeing the results you desire. You won’t get this same one on one dedication with Google. Networks consider you important because you are, and there’s knowledge you’ll gain out of talking to your AM that simply won’t exist with using AdSense.
Obviously CPA is going to require more time and work, but the additional benefits that come out of that are beyond worth it. You are given control, and with that comes the ability to learn what works better, eventually leading to you making more money than what’s possible with a lower ceiling platform like AdSense.

Pinterest has been a top name in the social media space for a while now, but it’s usefulness in affiliate marketing has had mixed results. The site’s Ad Manager was previously only available to big brand advertisers. That now changes as the company has released a new set of advertisers tools that are now available to medium and small businesses. This means an affiliate like yourself can now utilize Pinterest’s reach and volume for promoting CPA campaigns like those featured at MaxBounty.
In addition to opening up the Ad Manager to smaller advertisers, the targeting of the ads have been revamped in order to provide more options, and increase the specificity of who you’re trying to target. That number is growing from a mere 30 interests to a whopping 420. This can benefit you if you’re promoting offers that have smaller niches than your big interests like food and fashion.
Monetization Product Manager Nipoon Malhotra had this to say about the change to the Ad Manager system.
“First and foremost we want to build an ad platform that provides value to Pinners and is additive to the experience. We wanted to maximize the value they’re returning to partners.
There’s a few other things which come into that, we’re building this for small and medium-sized businesses, wanted to make sure the platform is easy to use and is optimized for them. The results for them you see kind of speak for that.”
If utilized properly, this could be a great new way to promote campaigns that allow social traffic. It’s different than Facebook ads but has the potential to offer the same success.
Pinterest is also introducing what they’re calling customer database targeting, this allows advertisers to upload a customer database and which can then be used to create a profile of people they want to advertise against. They’ll be able to run campaigns against those profiles, providing an easier way to determine what kinds of users they’d want to advertise against. An increase in the number of keywords available is part of this addition as well.
This should open up another avenue for affiliates to promote CPA campaigns. The level of it’s effectiveness will only be determined in time though.
